While you may notice we’re listed as “joining the family again soon,” with Luxury Family Hotels we want to reassure you: we’re still open, still welcoming families, and still offering the same unforgettable experiences that have made us a beloved escape in the Suffolk countryside.
Our Grade I-listed Italianate palace, set within 1,800 acres of stunning National Trust parkland, is a place where history meets family adventure. And while our heritage is part of our charm, it also means that planning any improvements takes a little extra time, patience, and precision.
That’s why we’ve taken a quiet step back from the Luxury Family Hotels brand - not because we’ve closed our doors, but because we want to honour our promise to families. The word luxury carries high expectations, and some parts of The Ickworth aren’t quite where we want them to be to meet those expectations consistently. We believe in getting things right, not rushing them.
In the meantime, nothing about our warm hospitality has changed. Families are still coming to The Ickworth to explore our sprawling grounds, enjoy delicious seasonal food, and spend quality time together in one of the most unique and breathtaking locations in the UK.
